Ken,
Have a great time. My father and brother just returned from Marathon earlier this week and did pretty well with tarpon.

I take a similar trip each September to Martha's Vineyard. It's pretty cool to live in a fantasy world for 7-9 days where you have absolutely zero responsibilities.

Well I just got back from the keys and had a great time. This year we targeted Mutton Snapper we got 25 Mutton’s from 5-20 lbs. 30 packages of fish you got to love it. We also got some by catches of kings, sharks, cuda’s, yellow jacks, dolphin, bonita, grouper, blue runners and other stuff. Had some BIG bottom fish on each day but could not stop them. My guess Jew fish. I will try to post some pictures of some of the better ones.

Sounds like a lot of fine eating there Ken. How far off did you have to run on a average day? Dink

Ha Dink

How is it going?
Ya we had a great trip with on going action. We fished live bait on the edge of the reef at the drop off in about 90’ of water. We did a lot of drift fishing to cover a little more territory and it paid off in the long run. We did take a few runs out to the 409 hump off Marathon which is about 20 miles out but it seems the week we were there their was only small dolphin around so we either let them go or picked up and moved on looking for bigger fish. I wish I could have stayed for another week but I had to go back to WORK.
