Default Prop Size for 115 hp on 20 CC

What props are you all running on your 20CC's.
I will be putting a Etec 115 on my 20CC, it has the 2:1 gear ratio lower unit (20" shaft w/ extension). It uses a 13 spline prop.
Thanks

This past May we put a new 115hp Etec on our newly restored 19' bowrider. Prop is 13-3/4 x 15 ... Cavitation plate 1" above bottom of boat. Max out at 5700rpm with no load, 5500 with 2 people. It performs very nicely & gets the boat on plane quite easily. Etec is a good choice.

Thanks for the info. Did you try a 17" pitch?
What speeds do you get with the 15"
What kind of fuel consumption do you get?
Anything I should be aware of installing the engine? Any Gotcha's?
Also, do you know where the lifting ring / eye on this engine is? The dealer said it had one but I cant find it. It is still in its crate in the garage.. I am working on replacing my old Yamaha 175 (boy that engine was a lot of fun).

Thanks a lot for the replies!

Sorry for all the questions, I don't have anyone over here to ask about the boat much.

KBay, this is the other half of 65 bowrider. To answer your first question, no we didn't try a 17" as you will loss approx. 200 RPM. C J is the name of the boat we restored and with the 115 E-Tec we get with 3 people and 3/4 tank with fuel we got 37.7 mph per GPS (that was with carla, capt. chuck and myself). As far as fuel economy I would say it is very good, because it seems to go forever. As far as gothchas, you will need the dealer to program the engine. Otherwise we had the dealer install the engine. Harmco may know about the lift ring. Welcome aboard. Skip

skippertee and all, thanks for the responses. I ordered a viper 14x15" prop. I'll post later when I get the boat running how it performs, may be a while though.
