Default Tsunami trolling

Someone who I never met was nice enough to take a photo of my 74 Tsunami while we were trolling on lake Ontario.
He recognized it from some pictures, and my constant blabbing about it on another site that I'm active on.

It was a nice surprise to come home and find this on a PM from him.My thanks to him for his generosity, wish I got a chance to meet him.

Yes,it's the long shaft T8 Yamaha.I should have raised it a couple of inches higher, but it works great as mounted.I don't think the short shaft would be long enough.

I can't say enough good stuff about this motor. It's so quiet, that I have to ask my buddies if it's running when I start it.It pushes the boat at all the normal trolling speeds that we use for Salmon. It
pushes the boat very good, even into three footers, and top speed is six Mph.

I love the power trim and tilt.I can raise it from the front control box,and also at the rear on the motor itself.

When it's time to run in with the I/O I can raise the kicker so that it's completely out of the water.

My 9.9 is a 20" shaft but I don't have it mounted yet, just wondering if it would work out. Looks like yours is setting about right. thanks
