I'm just about getting ready to put the new floor down, What do you guys recommend for the glue? I have been using hull and deck putty but it is pretty expensive 40.00 a gallon. If i use cabosil where can i get a decent amount for the project for a fair amount of money? And also should i use stainless screws as well through the stringers for strength.

Good question, any one out there going to reply?
When I get to that point I was thinking epoxy mixed with Cabosil and some micro balloons. ![]()

Did you get the hull and deck from Mertons?I assume you did,and he also has all the Cabosil, and Micro balloons, along with milled fiber, wood flour and other stuff, for gluing applications.
He has Cabosil in 1/4lb,1/2lb,2lb(five gallons),and 10lb(bags), and same in micro balloons. I used a slightly thinned hull and deck putty to glue the plywood core to my transom. I didn't have to replace the deck, but i made a very nice adhesive for similar use with some resin thickened with Cabosil, and milled fiber. Sometimes you can spend more to make up an adhesive putty than it cost to buy it already made.
