Default 1978 23 Center Console-Cap removal

Getting ready to begin restoration of my 23 footer, I keep it in storage about 10 miles from the house (free). I want to take the cap off to replace rotten wood where the cleats pulled out on the bow. What tools would you suggest to aid in the cap removal?? I don't want to have to drive home to get more tools, I will have power so a drill, electric grinder, hacksaw, razor knife, various screwdrivers, and crow bar. The transom will be repalced once the cap is back on, do I have to cut the cap in the rear by the storage boxes to get it off?

I will also be removing the console for a facelift and the hatches for recoring.

Thanks

Us a sharptend putty knife to cut the sealant under the cap where it joins the hull. The real fun begins under the livewell where it is cabosiled to the hull and along the back part of the livewell and two coolers that are also cabosiled to the transom. I wound up cutting the livewell out in three pieces. I will send you a pm as I live in Houston. I had my top cap off a year ago.
