Default Under gunnel LED;s - on a roll

Just redid my under gunnel LED's today - simple - I got some new one's from Scarb Chris - much easier to work with http://www.coastalnightlights.com/

I had some in already but the itty bitty wires broke after a year or so, Chris's wire was much heavier and easier to work with - also found my main ground ahd pulled out.

So I bought 10ft of Chris's blue strips and found out all the other ones still worked too.

So, I also figured out a brillent way to install them on SeaCrafts - they come with an adhesive strip although with my gunnel walls that would make them point towards the outer hull ( on an MA anyway) - got a piece of quarter round at HD and some double sided tape ( paint dept) and put the strips an the QR and my double sided tape on the other part of the QR and just stuck them along the inside of the gunnel - now they point down. I did take pic's of this brillent install idea.

I had previously run wire down the rigging tube to both sides of the boat and up under the gunnels, the baitwell side of an MA is tricky, you have to come from the top down with a fish wire. Once you have power Chris's lights are sweet as they just plug in, I used my 10ft in a 3ft section in the stern area - then the existing lights covered the console section and then 2 more 12" sections in the bow area. I had the other lights that I just added to the butt connectors along the way but they are quite bright but you would need to pretty much run the length of the gunnel for best effect. So just get power to the stern area and you could run the entire length just plugging in the sectiona and sticking the QR to the inside of the gunnel.

I will post the pic's as I am also doing the sleep platform pic's at the same time.

Yes it now really looks like a genuuiine Carniavl Cruise ship
