Default Resin

I have been using resin from a local guy here for my glass work. Recently my dog decided to knock over the 3 gallons I had left on the back yard. I'm not sure what kind of resin it is...poly, vinyl, etc. all I know is it stinks. I also have some west system left. My question is, can I use two different types of resin on one project, ie console? I have already done some glass work on the console using the local stuff. If I finish up the west system on the console Will it affect anything? Thanks

In general you can not put polyester over epoxy but you can put epoxy over polyester. I would try and get the same type of resin that you have been using.

That's what I figured, but I won't be able to get my normal resin a few days at least a few more days and I hate not working on anything at night. I was hoping to use up the west system. Guess I'll wait. Thanks strick.
