Default Wood Restoration

Being a newbie to the Seacraft family, I am a new owner as of last summer to a 1986 23' Seacraft CC. last year I refinished some of the teak gunnel rodholders and they came out well. now I want to restore the wood trim around the console cabinet as well as my steering column has a wood base. not positive if the wood is teak or mahogany possibly, in which case I will proceed differently. also have a wood rodholder behind the leaning post seat in need of refinishing. just poked around a bit and the steering column seemed to clean up with the teak cleaner, but not so much with the trim around the console cabinet.
If anyone knows the type of wood, please let me know. or also any refinishing tips!

thanks!

Rich
