Default Anyone have pictures of 23' Sceptre/Tsunami with front bow hatch?

I was thinking of adding a front bow hatch like the one pictured below...to access my bow and anchor easier. I was pricing anchor windlasses and chain/rodes and it is quite expensive.
thought the hatch might work ok if I got a large hatch like 20"x20"...saw some on Great Lakes Skipper web site
Any photos of bow hatches appreciated or any other ideas!
Thanks,
Fred

I think the later eighties Sceptres came equipted from the factory with a front hatch like that. Thought I've seen some pics on the site of some.

fred the only issue you will have is that the cap has a bow or crown to it where you want to put that hatch, check your and see.

Rig your anchor line amidship on a spring line cleat? Couple of rollers around the pointy.
Keep the lines topside and go from there. Slow deployment?

Look at the old Moesly design. Build a curved hatch? One thaaat may catch wind.

Feed the boy double bowls of Wheaties and whole milk and tell him to get up and pull the anchor cuz there are more fish down the ICW a couple of clicks . Seriously, get a ladder like the original - those hatches are great for ventilating, but leverage for pulling anchor while standing in a square hole will suck.

I was about to post the same thing about the OEM ladder that fits just below the sliding hatch/opening windshield to provide easy deck access. Check out page 4 of the attached article! I think someone on the forum made a beefed up version of that ladder some time ago. I believe the original was quite fragile and didn't hold up too well.

I like that ladder!!
Nice and simple...

What did you use to fasten the top and bottom..???

guess I am going to scrap the hatch idea and work on building a ladder this weekend!

Here's the ladder design. Someone had built it for me. Absolutely perfect.
