Okay-
After much thought I'v decided to give up on my old Load Rite bunk trailer and buy a new bunk trailer with a RULE winch. The Load Rite was just not designed for a 3000lb boat Can you guys who live above the Mason-Dixon line make a few recommendations as to what brands are good and how much I can expect to pay? Also, i heard stainless steel disc brakes are a no-no and I should go with those new DICO back free brakes that dont lock up when you go in reverse. I got one quote for a 6000lb cap. LOADMASTER aluminium for $3200. |

ALTHOUGH YOU CAN’T LIVE MUCH FURTHER SOUTH THAT I DO I ALSO BOUGH A LOADMASTER TRAILER ABOUT A YEAR AND A HALF AGO. I LOVE THE TRAILER DOES A GREAT JOB WITH THEIR TORSION AXELS AND SURGE DISK BREAKS. YOU WOULDN’T BE DISAPPOINTED I WENT WITH THE STAINLESS STEEL BOLTS THAT’S WELL WORTH THE EXTRA FEW BUCKS. I DROVE TO TAMPA TO PICK UP MINE COST $2,650 FROM THEM. MAYBE THEY WILL DROP SHIP TO YOU. YOU WILL PAY ABOUT THE SAME AS WHAT THEY SELL TO DEALERS FOR. FELLOW-SHIP |

Thanks, Fellowship. The quote I got ($3200) for the Loadmaster trailer was for the standard 6,000 or 7000lb model with the 10" inch drum brakes delivered to a dealer in New Hampshire.
I'll find out about the stainless nuts & bolts option...I dont think I want disc brakes because I think they will get all corroded after sitting around during our 6 month winters. |

another option.
http://www.nextrailofamerica.com When I bought mine it was called Tow Master of America. Nextrail is the same company. Billybob has the same Trailer. You can see pictures of his under the 23' pics. Mine seems like it could carry a house. 6000 lb dual axle bunk, brakes, etc, etc. I think I paid around $2200.
