Re: Hammers 1971 20 CC
Flyfisher you are correct. Hammer leaves his boat on a trailer so he felt it would be ok. If you leave the boat in the water for an extended amount of time the Awl-Grip may blister.
Re-Gelcoating the bottom, as Fellow-Ship did, is a better solution if you plan on leaving the hull in the water for a while at a time |

Re: Hammers 1971 20 CC
well he did a beautiful job. the only thing i think i would have done different, sense he did redue the transum. would be to close it complety in and use a bracket. but that is a personl choise. how do you guy feel about a bracket on a 20ft seacraft?

Re: Hammers 1971 20 CC
I call AwlGrip and talked to the Teck about this and he assured me that two or three nights a month is NOTHING to worry about. He did say that you would not want to leave it in the water for a week or two.

Re: Hammers 1971 20 CC
thanks guys . sorry about the post here on the bracket. i just found the topic in the forum. i feel better now knowing that what i was told was right. mine some times sends one or more weeks in the water. i some time don't turst the boat suppie co. around here were i live. i have a 20ft mako now. but in a little less then 2 years i'll be retiring and moving to the coast. i reelly want a 23 or 25ft seacraft when i do. i love a friends 23 inboard. but i feel better about outboards because i have rebuilt and helped to repair so my i know what to do if they hecup. inboards still loss me.
