Some recent up grades
Bottom paint. I still need to put on a boot stripe.
A kicker motor with electric tilt bracket. I'd rather have twins but for now I'll have to go with the kicker. A radar I bought from our own Bigshrimpin And some new hose for the bait tank All I need now is some fish. Here is one from Memorial day. Jareds first sturgeon. 67 inches and fat. strick

Strick,
Nice job and nice fish! I didn't know you had Sturgeon out there. I thought they were protected. It looks like a dinosaur. What do you use to catch a fish like that? -PF |

Re: Some recent up grades
Thanks guys...the sturgeon are abundant around here however they can be elusive and finicky on the bite. We use eel, grass shrimp, Herring, and pile worms to name a few. The meat is good if prepped right. Must be cut thin and seasoned and it kinda tasts like chicken. No bones in the fish. I'd come to help if I were closer Bobby. Have a great 4th of July fellas.

Re: Some recent up grades
Hey strick...boat looks great
Can you explain your livewell connections? I'm getting ready to do mine...above deck, under the seat and I want to be able to pump it out into my fish tank. Bill 23, Potter bracket, twin 135 rudes |

Re: Some recent up grades
The two port's comming out of the livewell allow you to change the amount of water in the livewell. 1/2 full or total full.
Just turn that Y valve to do so. Depending on the bait you have, you may not need or want it totally full. Especially if your down to the last live bait chasing it around the tank. I belive that's a 27gal Kodiak. |

Quote:
My tank is a 27 gallon kodiac. The business end has three fittings in the middle of the tank. The top and middle fittings are for the over flow drain. The black valve (the one Bobbby talked about)allows you to adjust the water level in the tank. The bottom middle fitting is to drain the tank at the end of the day. The thru hull for the bait tank overflow is on my port side and is even with the level of the bait tank if it were half full. The thru hull for the bait tank drain is on the starboard side and is about even with the floor of the boat. The fitting on the bottom right of the bait tank is were the water pumps into to fill the tank. I have seacocks on all the thru hulls. E mail me if you have more questions. Some pics: Bait tank business end: Bait tank as it sits on the deck: Bait tank pump. Also feeds water to the washdown pump not shown in pic. Seacock for tank drain. Seacock for tank overflow. Level of thru hull for tank overflow Level of thru hull for tank drain. strick

Re: Some recent up grades
Damn, Strick, that looks Awesome. That is a fishing machine. I am impressed with that console/integrated baitwell. Very sharp. Are you going with the Green/Gold boot stripe? I still can't get myself to remove my original black SeaCraft emblems to apply the new style. Maybe if I ever pull the trigger on a full blown refurb like yours, Hammers, and Marks to name a few. Nine months, countless hours and, again like Mark, don't want to add up the receipts. But my '82 15 Whaler came out even better than I expected. For now, I have the perfect platform for one B.A. fishing refurb. Nice Job. Post pics with the boot stripe. Hey, did you ever receive the pics of Part I and Part II? Thanks Mike.
