1978 18' Seacraft

Here are a couple pictures of the boat, there are a few minor modifications I made I thought some people might like to see. I cut a hole in the deck between the console and the casting deck and put a hatch. This is a great (wet) storage spot. I put a 6 gallon fresh water tank here and still have room for my life jackets and some small bumpers. Definitely a waste not to have this opened up. I mounted a pump in the back stbd side with a shower handle, works great!





Picture of the console, I have two batteries under here and you can see where I put the stereo where the splash shield is.



I will try and get some pictures of my baitwell setup as well, it works pretty good.

I like it. Storage is always an issue for the CC`s.

Your console pic brings up an issue of mine. Who makes those toggle switches? My livewell switch broke and I need one.

Should be a pretty standard switch, I believe it is made by Cole-Hearse (?sp). There are several styles, on-off-on, momentary on, on-off, for whatever you need.

There IS alot of wasted space up there. I squeezed in a longer tank for an extra 20 or so gallons. I've thought about cutting the areas out between the casting platform and gunnel; Like the 20. Might be a structural issue though.

The guy before me did the same thing with the tank, only he let the tank rest directly on the hull! It had actually worn into the glass quite a bit. I can't believe the things people do. Anyway, I managed to stuff a 54 gallon tank in the original size compartment which is enough for me.

I could see that happening with a flat bottom on the tank. The front 2 feet or so on my tank goes from 8" deep to 6".

Its a beautifull boat!
There's more fun packed into that vessle than you'll find anywhere.Simply put,that boat is amazing!.I may be partial because I love the 18' platform but.......
I run my 18' every other weekend and have soo much fun I cant wait till the next trip.Mine is a trailer boat,very simple and it really is a fishing machine.
