1979 20' Seacraft SF Superfisherman "The Birddog" This is a "Potter" Hull Boat is in Raleigh, NC I can't believe I'm going to sell my rig, but now is the time to move up. AND The steering wheel and knob are included!! I purchased this rig from a fellow ClassicSeacraft member in April 2011. It has been mainly used for inshore trout/drum fishing around Oriental, NC and cruising to the local sandbar hangouts. The trolling motor probably has 3X the hours as the Yamaha. Our beach house is approximately 3/4 mile from the ramp and most of my inshore fishing was within 6 miles of the ramp. However, I have fished offshore off Ocracoke Inlet/Drum Inlet NC a few times a year and have had great success with limits of mahi, wahoo and many sailfish. This 2 Stroke has a certain hum that brings them to the transom. I own the boat/trailer with clear titles in hand. Only reason I'm selling is the move up to a new 25T Contender. Just don't have the room to store two boats in the yard. I have been mostly offshore fishing on my best friends boat the past few seasons and I hate to see my boat not being used. The hull was completely restored in 2005 by Wildfire Marine in Stuart, Florida. Respond by email below. troutrunner162@yahoo.com Asking $19000 OBO I've got more than listing price invested, but I feel this is a fair price for the boat! Thanks for looking! Alright guys, all reasonable offers will be considered. I just put down a deposit on a new 25T Contender, this one needs to go. I will include an anchor/chain with approximately 100' of rope, fire extinguisher, flair kit, whistle, 4 life preservers in clear bag, flair kit and a throwable device to be USCG ready. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Thanks for following proper protocol for listing your SeaCraft for sale.
A Gucci boat offered at a Walmart price. It won't be for sale long. Someone going to get a nice refurbished Potter without all the work and expense.

Troutrunner,
very nice boat. Just a quick question, i have always wanted to put a bow mounted trolling motor on my 21 SF but have always worried about it slamming around in rough water. 1) does yours move the boat satisfactorily? 2) any issues with it banging in rough seas? Thx, HatTrick

Hattrick,
The 70lbs of trust is more than plenty for the 20' hull. Your not going to pull skiers but it will move the boat at almost 4mph wide open. I have a 54" shaft. If it was rough enough that the motor was coming out of the water, it was too rough to trout/drum fish. My motor is mounted to the Minn Kota removable bracket. I have the bracket thru-bolted to the bow. Never had any issues with it banging or slamming. There again, I don't take the trolling motor with me going offshore. Thanks Chris |
