Default What happened here?

Ok for the past month or so my bilge blower is making weird noises. So I order up a new one and finally did the replacement.

Any guess what has happened here? I know but lets see what you folks out there come up with the answer :

Yep...every spring (that's February in FLA) some friggin' rat gets on the boat. Most of them aren't as well dressed as the one in the picture. But I will say this, they don't give a Rats A** what they chew up. Lucky this was the only thing I found this year.

They all meet the same end...
