Thanks, that's pretty cool!
I expect there is 800 to 1000 pounds missing from that boat with the missing cap, deck and console. I would bet that it would at least get up on plane and cruise with the rest of the parts installed based on the video.

Once upon a time, anyone on this or any other boating forum would have been quite proud to own a 20 ft Superfisherman with a 75 hanging from the transom. It would run in the 30's and suitable for offshore service, including a trip across the stream and a week cruising the Bahamas.
Today it's unsafe to venture offshore without 30 feet of boat and at least 2 engines; and a modern 20 ft v-hull boat with less than 200 hp is likely underpowered.
Meanwhile, a little horsepower and a well designed hull can still make for a great all around platform for inshore and offshore use.
Funny how perception changes over time.

Haha. That is hysterical. I want to know what their Min Plane Spd is!

I saw 9.7 mph on plane with Steve Matthews on the barrel back
cold molded prototype 25 from Tribute with a 250 HO ETEC.
Tribute uses a modified VDH design. OK, highly modified.

WOT was 72 mph and just buttery smooooooooth.

Ya know GFS that 250 eTec HO is a bad mother!! The opposite of Yamaha, you get more HP than advertised. Too bad they gave it up to the 4S engines. Oh well.

I'm sorry, but that G2 looked like Gumby on acid. What were they thinking.
I've seen better looking Edsels.

The 2 stroke design in my mind is still superior to the 4 st in many
ways. They chose to make the G2 heavier for some troubling idea.
Denny and I saw over 10 mpg on his seafari at idle in da Keys!

I can hold 12 mph at 3,000 rpms. Not too shabby there.

A pretty good indicator that 115 hp will work fine on a SC 20 hull.

that was cool, I love cave man engineering because the results are generally irrefutable...

It also took me a minute to realize it was the same guy I had watched free diving videos a while back. He has a few gems on his site that are worthy of a look if you're into that.

Did you all see the next video in the series when they took the same hull and put 2 more engines on? Added a 25hp Merc 4s and a 15hp tohatsu 2s and got it up to 33mph.
