Default Why have I been hiding lately?

Well, I bought a boat! I have had the survey done (needs some work but structurally very sound) on a 1979 23 Center Console!

This was a boat I drooled over a few months back and wanted badly but wasn't able to move until now. I'm really not ready to move now but I didn't want to miss this one again since it came available again. The price? I quit smoking for it !

With a little luck - the transport company will pick it up on Tuesday morning and it will be in Mass before next weekend! Does anybody want to buy 2 Big Engines ??

Here is a pic or 6:

Congratulations! Now the rest of us can welcome you as a fellow SeaCraft owner. That is one sweet looking ride and a Potter built one as well. Nice electronics and t-top. Please tell us what you plan to do as far as power and mod's. Good luck and what's her name?

Thanks guys! Yes - definitely going with a single. Not sure yet what but we'll see on that. Power & mods? Not a lot right now. Big thing is selling the twins and getting a single engine. Anyone need some twins cheap ? Well, "cheap" in FL and "cheap" in Mass are two entirely different things.

Mods? Remove most of the teak. See how far forward fuel tank extends to determine if porta-potti for my wife is an option . Bow dodger... Not too sure what else. No brackets at this time. The transom is solid (was done over a few years ago) and even though its the shorter transom, it ain't going if it doesn't need to go... Power winch for the trailer - this has already started off as a bad back year. The last too years were good years.

Name? Not sure yet - was thinking "Father's Day" or "Surfcrafter" as that's where me & my sone will be spending time in a couple years... until he's old enough to do the most challengine Surfcasting...
