Default fishfinder/gps

I am looking to buy a fishfinder/gps combo unit.
Have been looking at the lowrance x-18 or x-19 color machines.
Any suggestions?
Thanks Doug

Hey Doug,

How's it going up there? I bought the Lowrance x-19 with a chip for Lake Ontario. The resolution is awesum and it works well in sunlight. I'd do it again.

Garmin has some nice offerings in the same price range and if resolution is not important, Garmin has the 188c way cheaper.

I currently use a lowrance 18x with the gps add on,This is one awesome unit great at night or day
very user friendly and has an awesome built in map datum. I signed up for a credit card and got 10% off both units and saved over 100$$ ended up around 1k

I support the 4 fishfinder theory.
