Default 1972 23' Displacement ?

I'm trying to find out what the factory displacement is for my 1972 23' seacraft is. I calculated 5800 gross tons, but want to submit my boat for sea time for a USCG Captain's license. I need to be over 5000 Gross Tons. Any help is appreciated. Sea Craft really only wants to deal with Dealers and has not been any help.

"5800 gross tons" - I think you mean pounds, unless you have one of them SeaCraft aircraft carriers . Your dry hull weight is around 2,700# for a CC and 3,000# for a cuddy.

Figure about 2 tons approximately for your boat.

I used my 19 for most of my hours for my license. It was 1.2 net tons. Unless you have over 25 tons your first license is going to be 25 ton.
