Default Ficht 200 vs Hpdi 200

Any thoughts on Ficht 200 vs HPDI 200? I would like to get some opinions on this comparison. I need to buy twins for my 23' Seacraft CC that was extended to 25'. Price will obviously play a factor but what about these engines head to head.April 15 is coming soon and the Ficht special will be over.

If the cost was the same for the motors which ones would you choose and why?

I'll have bids Monday to compare the same. If they were the same, my choice would be the Ficht mainly because I have 2 terrific dealers close by and the rebate vs 4 extra years warantee may be tough to beat. Willing advise.

Just some info on the Evinrude/ Johnson special you have to take delivery by 4/15/03 so if dealer has to order it (which most do) Dealer must take warrenty card out and it must be post marked by that date I know i just orderd a 115 Johnson and if you take the rebate you don't get it back until sometime in July JAM

The Evinrude weights 532 lbs. Has a dual Voltage 60 amp alternator. comes with a non declining warry. Yamaha weights 570 lbs. has a 50 amp charging. and has a declining warry.
The Evinrude also has which Yamaha does not 304 s.s. steering arm, closed deck cylinder block, plus a relieved split line gearcase. Evinrude also has Adjustable Cooling water tell-tail, trim limit switch, built in trailer support arm. Yamaha comes with non of these items listed. Plus Evinrude parts are much easier to get then Yamaha parts. At least it is in my area. I would think your local dealer should stock these engines. IF not as long as its ordered by April 15th you will still get the rebate or extra warry.
