New to site, questions about Seafari
Hi, I am new to the site and have some questions about the Seafari. First off I have owned several Whalers and a Grady White. This past Christmas our family spent a week in the Keys. We went out on a Sea Craft 20 and that is all it took for me. I am Looking at buying a center console or the Seafari. I noticed a 1978 seafari in the trader. The windsheild looks like the one off the 25' seafari. Was this a change in design or is this a 25' boat. Have not recieved Hull ID from the seller to tell. Would also like to hear from anyone that has had experience with a 23 Savage. Thanks for your help, This is a fantastic site

Re: New to site, questions about Seafari
Underdog,
Welcome aboard. I can't tell you much about the windshield, but I wouldn't be suprised if it was the same as the 20. As far as the savage goes. Their a farely rare boat and are basiclly a Sceptre/Tsunami without the windshield. With an added center console and a goofy bowrail. I don't know where your from, but a guy here called Mike_D has a real nice 20 Seafari for sale in Mass.

Re: New to site, questions about Seafari
Hi underdog, you may also want to check out the yellow Seafari on the FOR SALE forum, she's sweet!
As for the windshield, the 20's w/s opens up completely but the 25's opens up only on the bottom panels, that's the way to tell the difference from both w/s. If I may put in my 2 cents worth, if you're looking for a pure fishing boat, the CC is the way to go, but if you're looking for an all around boat, no CC beats the Seafari, she cruises great (mine made the Florida-Bahamas trip yearly), sleeps 2 and even has a toilet! I use a Magma SS grill on our overnights and cook what we catch. Since she can also carry some 20 gals of fresh water you can even take a shower in the cockpit. Overall she's the most capable of the models.

Re: New to site, questions about Seafari
Mine is the same as Mike_D's...
Underdog, Welcome to the site. The Seafari is a very cool boat. You get the SeaCraft ride, plus good amenities. Best of luck with your search.
