99 SeaCraft 25
Looking for any information to address any concernes. I have a 1999 SeaCraft 25 that had a single 250 Mercury. Lower unit went out. Repowered with twin Suzuki 200's at a total weight of 1160lbs. The transom is rated to 400hp and 1100lbs. Should I be concerned. Thanks for the input.

Ha Noah Ark
The thread that Lost2a6 is a real eye opener about the 25 around that time. If memory serves me correctly that is when they first started making the 25 with the eurobracket. I guess they were on a learning curb regarding How Do You Do Them correctly because I have heard from then till now of different owners that have had problems with the transom not being built properly causing separation and delamination of transom from the hull. I have never heard of a boat falling apart during use but there has been repair work done on several during the early days of the 25. Doubling the weight on the transom is doubling the chances of this potential problem happening to your boat. I guess they have corrected their technique in the last few years regarding the eurobracket since I have not heard any new reports on the newer boats although we have heard of other complaints problems like the live wells and some other types of problems. If I were you I would inspect for stress cracking around the transom both at rest and underway. If you have problems and you bough the boat yourself new you could have coverage with Seacraft if you got your boat used FORGET IT its you problem.
