unsinkable SeaCraft
A friend of mine has had the gunwhales of his 21' SeaCraft CC pumped full of foam, theoretically making it unsinkable. Has anyone on this forum had any experience with this process?

Re: unsinkable SeaCraft
From one point of view yes it will provide flotation and integrate the inner and outer wall of the hull for stiffness. But on the other side IF water gets trapped in their which happens often your looking at fiberglass blistering that could be a Real problem in the future. I have the 23’ and like the Two Working 1500 gal. bilge pump flotation approach much better.

Re: unsinkable SeaCraft
Get yourself a box of ~20 poolnoodles from Wally World, shove them anywhere they will fit .... pull them out at the end of season to dry.
There is a guy on this board that did it, can not remember his name ..... - Nick? |

So it is True..... I tell the story all the time about this crazy guy in Saugus, the story consists of the following key ingredients: pool noodles, 20 ft SeaCraft, big fish, (2) crazy brothers, or (1) crazy Mancini, more electronics than most mega yachts, and something about 30plus miles offshore |

But you forgot the most important key ingredient in the survival bag! Only to be cracked in an emergency or after a BFT hits the deck!
