Fuel Capacity question
I have a 2004 23' SeaCraft. The company advertises that boat as having a fuel capacity of 135 gallons. I just had the deck plate off however, and the metal plate on the gas tank says 146 gallons. Anyone have any idea why this is? Does that mean there are only 135 gallons of usuable gas?

Re: Fuel Capacity question
There was a running change and a larger tank was brought in around that time. 146 is the capacity.

Re: Fuel Capacity question
Interesting, my 1983 23 also holds 146...

Re: Fuel Capacity question
I also have a friend with a 2003 and a 146 gallon tank. Makes you wonder. I tried to send SeaCraft an email, but you cannot do it from their website.

Re: Fuel Capacity question
2003 change ?
Why has the literature / seacraft site not changed to reflect this increase ? Still shows 135 gallons |

Re: Fuel Capacity question
I called SeaCraft - they were very nice but did not provide a lot of insight. Actually called twice and talked to 2 different people. One lady looked up my serial number and verified that I have a 146 gallon tank. The second lady told me that sometimes if they have a larger tank that fits, they will use it. Sounds like they get different size tanks and it is the luck of the draw as to which one you get. My guess is most boats have the 135 gallons size.
