My 1970 20CC is a Moesley design and all boats built up to some point in 1970, were built under his supervision until he left the company at that time.

Otto, I was also wondering if there were any CCs out there with the 19' hull, having the same bow profile that the bowrider has.
the green boat is the bowrider, the blue is the '70 Seafari. I like the shape of that bowrider bow. I guess my main reason for asking is that I'm intrigued with whatever differences there might be between the Moesly 19' and the Potter 20' boats. rockdoc

Re: Any Moesly 19' or 20' CCs out there?
RockDoc,
I believe the 20' CC originally came out in 1967. The 19' came out in 1965. The bowrider hull was designed a little differently to give more 'lift' in the bow to compensate for the passenger weight in the bow. The only way you'd find a CC on a 19' hull is if someone cut out the deck & made a CC out of it. Moesly stayed on with SeaCraft until about March 1970 overseeing the design & construction of the boats, then left. So anything prior to that time could be considered a Moesly built SeaCraft. David, you've done a fine job in fixing up your bowrider. I am in the process of restoring a 65 Bowrider, outboard, and would like to know more about what problems you found when you tore it all apart. Were the stringers in good Shape? The transom ? I found 'mulch' under the forward bowrider deck and I know the bow deck is not strong, but haven't dug into that yet....Just taking one step at a time. Appreciate hearing from you.
