T Top
Does anyone here have any numbers on speed from their boat with a T top vs. without. I have a 20 SF without a T top and 225 Merc but since moving to south FL sometimes i would love to have the T top,(especially in summer) but dont want to lose too much speed.

Re: T Top
This was from a post I submitted 09/05/05
T-Top will not faze the 225HP you have. My 1970 20SF has a 97 Carbed 200HP Merc. 21 inch LaserII prop. 24 inch Bennett tabs and 80 gallon tank. By myself the hole shot and top end is great. Top speed 62mph on the GPS at 5800rpm. (My engine has been tricked out) If I put three of my 250lb buddies in the boat, hole shot and top speed drops off real bad. Solution: 4 blade prop for those times when I run a heavy load. Top speed is around 55mph 5800 rpm(with 4 big guys in the boat) But my hole shot is far better, not quite as good with the 3 blade by myself, but it works. Hope this helps. See ya, Ken
