flotation bracket
I just got my boat back from having a flotation bracket and newer motor installed. I went from having a 1988 Johnson 150 VRO to a 1999 Evinrude Ficht 175
Check out pictures on the main page it is the yellow Seacraft. http://www.hermco.net |

Re: flotation bracket
Looks good. How does she run? One of these days Don needs to take some time off so he can finish his own boat
I think I see it in the back ground of those pictures. strick

Re: flotation bracket
Looks nice . . . I'm thinking of doing the same with my 20 MA. Good luck with the 99 FICHT . . . If you have the air cooled computer you're in for a treat!!! Let me know if you need the diagnostic software . . . I still have version 1.42B laying around.

VCS
Looks great. Ole Don does nice work...(as long as Buster watches over his shoulder) BTW: Be sure your '99 Ficht has a new oil pump and the injector straps...

Re: flotation bracket
That bracket is a thing of beauty. How do you access your aft bilge? Any problems with cockpit drainage? How much does engine weigh? How does it ride? Will you add trim tabs? So many questions- so little time.

Re: flotation bracket
If you look at the early pictures on the website the livewell was originally in the floor in front of the new livewell. I had him cut out the back of the livewell so I can access the bilge area. The motor weight 400lbs but the bracket will float 400lbs of the motor weight so it improved the boats flotation in the water. The original scuppers that were at the back of the boat were relocated and the hull is still self draining. I will get some pictures this weekend of it sitting in the water and post them for everyone to see.
