Default 1974 23' SeaCraft For Sale (Potter Built)

I'm selling my 1974 23' SeaCraft. It's truly a unigue boat in that it has twin I/O's. Don't let it fool you...the twin I/O's make this one of the best riding, handling and fuel efficient boats I've ever owned. In 2003, I re-powered with (2) brand new Merc. 4 cylinder(135 hp) motors and (2) brand new alpha drives. In 2006, I replaced the port alpha drive (new) due to a manufacturer defect. Both engines have aprrox. 550 hours. The transom was completely replaced in 2003. All the wiring and hydraulics (incl. steering and trim tabs) replaced new in 2003. Hatches and deck soild....I believe less than 10 boats with twin I/O's were made by Potter himself..in the 70's.

The engines have been well maintained by a local marina each season. The lightweight 4 cyl motors make this a very fuel effient boat. According to its Floscan, it burns approx. 12 gallons (6 gallons each) an hour cruising at 27-30 mph. I spent many a day out at the ledge and BB without having to worry about my 70 gallon fuel capacity.

I've listed many of the options below. It comes with electronics, tandem galvanized trailer, outriggers and lots more!! Ready to tuna fish!! The t-top needs to be replaced other than that all the hardware, mechanics and electrical work is in top notch condition.

LOA - 23'3"

Thank you. No longer in the charter boat business. Time for it to go to a new owner who will enjoy it as much as I did..

Swap out those merc's for some 120hp 4cyl diesels and you'll really have a looker! Nice boat. Good luck with the sale.

I took a look around this boat today. I wanted to see what my 1974 twin I/O looked like back in the day. This boat is a great example of a unique 23 model. The most expensive in its day. Original and in great shape....good luck with the sale.

I looked at this boat too, last fall before I bought my '75 Sceptre (what I really wanted). It looks good, redone transom, deck seemed very solid, newer power and drives, good trailer. I know that a bunch of the Cape Cod commercial bass and tuna guys are running I/Os, so that says something.

A "Tuna guy" friend of mine thinks I am crazy in the head for converting my I/O to an outboard bracket
