Default Someone glassed scuppers shut from bottom

Someone before me thought it would be a good idea to glass the scuppers shut and fill the tubes on my SC. Looks like a homemade deal they even drilled holes leading to the bilge .... How smart of them.... How am I gonna drill these things straight....anyone else have any ideas... I'd rather be a follower and not a leader on this dilemma...and yes I did a search, to much to sift through and nothing deals with that particular problem...btw is there any way to collapse the threads in the search to the original posts only and no responses?

I think someone may have been planning to run the scuppers out the transom or perhaps you have a Moesly and it was designed that way wherein the scupper lines would cris-cros under the deck to the opposing side. Try to post some pictures. Many of these guys have already attacked scupper problems in different ways. I'm currently replacing mine as they were - thru the hull, but I still dislike that design.

nah it was just a hackjob....and its a potter...and they go straight through the bottom and thats how I want them I dont see any advantage to changing them on this boat if anything it would be a disdvantage because the tramsom is lower
