We faired fine in Edenton. A stiff breeze and some light rain was all we got. Haven't heard all the reports from the outer banks yet, but, what I have heard hasn't been too bad.

I'm 35 miles due north of Boston. We got a little rain, sometimes intense for short 10-20 min. bursts and very little wind. I saw maybe 20knots max for brief periods.

Everyone I have spoken to agrees there was more hot air before the storm from the media than ever showed up with Earl. Oh well; better safe than sorry, I suppose.

I'm down here in onset . . . 30 mph winds at most and typical summertime rain!! Poor newscasters having to make a 24 x 7 story out of dead hurricane.

funny, I have a bunch of friends that are posting how dissapointed they are. Me, I'm happy we didn't get a direct hit, or the east wall. Course, back when I was surfing and living on Nantucket it was a different story. We prayed for them to come straight for us.
