'86 SeaCraft information
Does anyone know who owned SeaCraft in '86? More importantly, how was the quality at that point?

Re: '86 SeaCraft information
It says Carribbean Sailing Yachts (csy) is the parent comany of Sarasota Marine Corp (txy). Carribbean Sailing Yachts (csy) owned seacraft 1980-1982 so that could possibly be why. Just a guess

Re: '86 SeaCraft information
Not sure if this post belongs in General or Performance, but since it's specific to a 20' '86 SeaCraft CC, I'll ask it here. Does anyone know the maximum hp rating for this boat?

Re: '86 SeaCraft information
I don't know if there is any difference in the year models, but, this might give you an idea. I can't imagine there being much difference in hp.

Re: '86 SeaCraft information
How's the LCG with 200 HP? Any performance issues like getting on plane. I'm looking at a 20' (trim tabs, standard transom)with a 225hp that weighs about 477 pounds.

Re: '86 SeaCraft information
I have a 87' 20 footer with a 200. it weighs just about 400 lbs. I dont have trim tabs and ive got no preformance issues. It gets on a plane fine and handles great. Only thing with a lot of weight back there you cant plane at really low speeds. I think mine planes out in the low 20's.
When your in the back corners of the boat water will come in through the scuppers. Your feet will get wet but for me its not an issue. I will have 2 people fishing off the back of mine and a little water will come in but it drains back out when the people move. Mine goes 46-47 WOT and i can cruise at 30 around 4000rpms. Overall im very satisfied |
