Thanks for the picture Ken. Yep pretty similar boat. Being on the water is the priority. Looking forward to some serious fishing coming up. How's the Jungle Rehab Center??

go to photobucket.com, open a free acct. Click upload pictures(there is a customize your uploads tab to make pics bigger). Find the picture in your hard drive. Once uploaded, you will see the direct link below. Move your mouse over the direct link filed. Once it says copied, make a post on this web site and click the image hyperlink. Delete the https in the open field and hit paste. That's it. Good luck. I want to see your boat.

The boat is an 88 with a mint 96 130 Yamaha. The weight / balance of the boat is impressive with that light motor and solid power of the V-4.

what rpm s are you running at wide open throttle ? i have never seen over 5000rpms with my 130 yamaha with a 19 prop. i have been reading these motors run 5700 but that seems high for a 1989 130 ??? anyone got any specs on this motor? thanks

The best I got was 5400 with a 19 prop on my old 130. My current motor is not hitting above 5300. My thought is that after 21 years, the stator and/or the coils need to be checked for you and mine which is a 1996.
