Reversing Steering and Throttle Placement
The wheel is on the right and the throttle (Evinrude) is on the left. I was going to cut a piece of poly and reverse mount them on that. My last boat, which was my first, had Teleflex. My SC 20 has hydraulic steering (Hynautic), which is new to me. Is disconnecting and reconnecting it as easy as it lools? How 'bout the throttle?

it should be a straight forward procedure. you will probably have to re-bleed your steering though. id say maybe an hour worth of work if you already have the holes drilled and cut out for the helm and throttle.

the fluid is at least $20 dollars per quart. you can make your own bleed kit using an air fitting from an impact gun or air tools. the threaded part screws right into the helm. on my seastar it does so i would imagine hynautic is the same.

You could use ATF, it would be slighty more steering effort. You could go to a hydraulic shop and get Hydraulic fluid.

I ran the boat yesterday for the first time this season. Yeesh. Better late than never... After two minutes of adjusting to the helm being on the right, I was fine. But I plan on reversing them over the winter. Thanks guys.
