Default Whats this

Is this one of Carls raceboats? I remember a guy on here had a similar hull and said it was one of the racing machines.

I don't know... Sure looks like a Moesly SeaCraft to me. I can't see the bow strake Potter put on the 23's. Length/shape is definitely similar to "My Racing Machine" #31...

Or could it be the basis for the lost 27' Seavette as depicted in the patent drawing...

Interesting find if its not a late model 26'. Can't wait to see your pics, No Bones. Better yet - cant wait to see it at Area 442.

back at the 1st Anclote gathering, Carl said the 27' SeaVette had a "wide" beam. He revealed that the first three prototypes were made for the CIA, and all were equipped with twin big block Mercruiser stern-drives. The 3 prototypes were "all equipped differently", although he didn't specify what that meant. When I asked Carl directly if he had ever built any other 27' SeaVettes after the 3 prototypes, either for the CIA or any other agency, he said he "still can't talk about that".

I do know where one sank in 1970, in West Africa.

Ah, the onion.

2 step 28? The shear looks like the real deal. Carl has beauty in his lines.

Quite an acomplished artist and wood worker as well.

Let us see the transom.

Cheers for history,
GFS
