Default Need to VENT!!

Well today was a sad day at Area 442...
My beloved Walker Coon hound "Sara" was run over by a heartless
punk!!!

I had to leave early around 6:30 AM, Sara was flopping her tail
on the couch when I was getting ready to leave...
It has been in the 30's here the last couple of days so I asked her
if she wanted to go out or wait for Patti or Lil' Kenny to let her
do her thing... She passed on my invite. I said my good-byes
and hit the road. Lil' Kenny let her out around 7:30AM
for her usual chasing of
squirrels, rabbits, deer or what ever else is moving!
Friday is garbage day, and the driveway from Area 442 to the County
maintained road is about 4000 ft. We have those tote containers on wheels
and the easiest way is to drop that sucker on a trailer hitch
and head on out....
Well as Lil' Kenny was heading out with can in tow so was Sara...
When Kenny and his buddy Troy got to the county road and dropping
off the container they noticed a P/Up heading their direction at a high
rate of speed... Kenny's buddy Troy jumped out to signal the driver to slow down
as Kenny was trying to keep Sara from running out in front of the fast moving truck...
Well you guessed it, the "PUNK" went even faster before Kenny could
catch Sara and the "PUNK" ran her over and sped away!!!
Kenny jumped in the truck to chase the "PUNK" and got his tag
number. The SOB would not even stop....

After dealing with the Sheriff's Dept. and Animal control it all comes down
to a civil matter!!

There are no laws to protect a "Free roaming dog"... BS!!!!!!!!!!

This "PUNK" lives on the next rural road to the south of Area 442..

I will miss my girl friend... She was always there to keep me company..

God bless you Sara!! Sleep tight in your backyard...

Hope the PUNK ASS get his .

Ken & Patti, I'm So Sad to hear about your loss All you can do is remember the could times you had with her.

PS: Let me know when we need to target practice again with the backdrop facing the southern street!

Sorry to hear it, Ken. I guess we've all got an A-hole in our neighborhood, but it really sucks when they manage to do something really stupid like this. I guess we can at least be thankful that Kenny and Troy didn't get hit too. Hang in there, man.

Practice makes perfect. Has he ever been fishing?

Very sad,
Sandy, Janet, Darla, Wookie {rip}, Spanky, and Petey Big Mouth.

Nothing civil about this.
