Moving Battery Forward
Im about move the battery on my 75 20SF forward to help with the water that comes into the stern when my passengers climb in and out of the boat on the swim platform.
Im planning on putting two batteries under the console and installing a Blue Seas Dual Circuit Battery Switch which will isolate the engine and house circuits. Sounds like a common modification for Potter owners. Do you guys have any pointers or seen a DIY thread on this? |

I did the same to my 23'. Pretty straightforward. I installed my switch in a box on starboard side. It's covered on the back where the wing nuts are with the ACR switch below.

I am doing the same to my 20 SF adding a battery under the console. I chose the switch from Bep marine defender.com has it.
http://www.defender.com/product.jsp?...9265&id=776709 IMO the Bep cluster switch is a cleaner install check out both wiring diagrams. Good luck!! http://bluesea.com/files/resources/i.../990310020.pdf http://www.bepmarine.com/media/produ...73148082df.pdf |

Just finished putting one of these in my boat. 2 battery system, with separate breakers for Ttop, console, etc. I want to put a shore power charger on there at some point too, for battery maintenance while its sitting on the trailer in the driveway.

Hey Guys,
I went with the BEP Marine 716 Dual Switch and the installation was more straightforward than I thought. Just one question....Any ideas where I can get a box like the one reescape1 put in for the Blue Sea unit? It's becoming a pain to reach under the console when I shut down the boat and Im realizing the outside access is much easier. |
