I'll tell you what I have on my '03 225 efi Merc, 17 pitch cheapie Vengeance SS prop. I'm thinking you would be at a 17 or 18 pitch with a 19 at the top end. I'm assuming you have the 250 optimax or PRO XS, how do you like the performance so far?

The boat I'm speaking about belongs to my son, he just purchased the 2017 250 optimax , haven't gotten it back from the boat dealer yet , should be getting it any day now , just wanted a little help with correct prop size, I've owned to 20' sea crafts over the past 30yrs but have no experience with the 23, can't hardly wait to go for a ride in it

I run a 17p Rev4 or Enertia Eco on mine. I tried 19p of each and they were too big and could only get about 5400 rpm. Nice cruise speed though. I'd like to try an 18p Rev 4 or Enertia Eco, but they only come in the racing series for big bucks.

17p Revolution 4 or 17p mirage plus. You're only going to give up 1 to 2 mph vs 3 blade but the Rev 4 is superior to all IMHO. Then u can add a little cup to the prop and pick up 4 to 5 mph at cruise tomorrow and get amazing fuel economy.

I ended up with a 15P Mirage Plus on my 23 with a 225 Optimax. Tried a 17P Mirage Plus but couldn't get the RPMs up.
