Default WANTED: '76 Sceptre Windshield Latches

I just purchased this Seacraft at auction and I'm trying to get it in the water for the season. All of the windshield latches are cracked or broken & I'd like to replace them. These are the small black plastic knobs with a ring to pull down on. You twist the knob to lock the windshield in place. Does anyone have any ideas of where I could locate about 10 of these? West Marine & Boat U.S. didn't have a clue. Thanks for any info you might have.

I have realy enjoyed this website and I finally have something to contribute so I registered tonight after I read your request. I just had to replace mine also and I finally found them after hours of looking on the net. You can get them from Americanmarine.com. I would give you the number, but I can't find the receipt. Ask for a Mike and he can help you. CY

Thanks for the tip. Called Mike & he's sending some to my home. He was really helpful. While I was talking to him on the phone I noticed an imprint on the side of the latch, "American Marine Products, Inc." They made them for a while for SeaCraft but haven't had any in production for some time. Sounds like whatever he has in stock will be the end of them. Thanks again, Chris

Chris, I'm glad I could help! I am in the middle of redoing my 75 sceptre and am looking for the black aluminum vent guards that are on the each side. Have you ever seen these before? CY
