Welcome to the website. Great looking boat. Like the color. My project MA is the same yellow as yours was ( Federal Yellow?). Will probably change to Aqua Mist. Any interior pic's? Lot's of great info and ideas and advice to be found here.

Looks great. Did you shoot it yourself? I love the color. What paint was it? Awlgrip? Good idea shooting at night, no wind, no contamination of your paint surface.

Fact is Bug's just seem to be attracked to White even more so than other color's too. Year's ago when do side job's painting car's it always seemed they were ready to paint at night. I've shot the 1st coat on them, only to take reducer and rag's and wash it all back off more than a few time's. even in an enclosed situation, the bug's would hide up in the rafter's as soon as the smell of that paint started getting sprayed around they would come out of the woodwork and do touch and go's. Of corse not all of them would go. they'd do a lot of flopping around. |

I second that. When I was a kid my dad and I rolled and tiped a 1969 Chrysler Conqueror white at night and every moth in town decided to land on my boat. Needless to say the second coat was done during the day. Boy I wish I still had that boat.

I would also add that it gets too damp at night ... the moisture that settles in as it cools down at night would destroy the gloss, if not do more damage

I'm not sure if you guy's are inferring that boat was shot outside at night or not? Cuz looking at the pic's it looks like a controlled area to me? Plus they did a dam nice job.

You can see in one of the pics that boat was shot inside a shed or butler building.... that made it look dark |
