I have a Lewmar Pro fish on my 23 ft contender and it has been one of the best upgrades purchased.

Glen, is that the one with the automatic free fall? I got a hell of a deal on a Lewmar V-2I could not pass up, I just took it off my boat because of the slowness of powering the anchor down.

Auto free fall is the only way to fly.
I had a horizon on my shamrock that was power up and down. It was a pain to use like you said Don. I have had it on the boat for almost a year with no issues. Its built well and works as advertised. My next upgrade will be a fortress anchor but that won't be until next season.

Mine is power up and down. One of the best additions, bar none! I would prefer a free fall but just by a little bit. To put it in perspective, I rarely have to anchor in over 40" of water and and the extra time has not proven to be that much of an issue.
If it is, I just pop the rode off the gypsy and let it fall! Tie/cleat it and then set the rode back in the gypsy. It doesn't even know what I've done and loves to pull it back up!
