Default transom rebuild

has anyone used evercoat kitty hair to laminate plywood to skin and between layers of ply thanks

Just use 1.5oz mat between the layers of plywood. Also use a layer between the original skin and the first piece of wood. Much better, (stiffer,stronger) than any bondo product.

George - Kitty hair is essentially bondo with milled fibers . . . you are much better off with 1.5oz mat and polyester resin. The resin will absorb/sink into the plywood and make a strong bond.

If your going to bond plywood to skin you can use the method everyone is saying. But i would get epoxy and thicken it out to a mayonnaise consistency with the powder thickener then apply with a trowl. You will have to grind this apart to separate. Epoxy makes the best bond when applying 2 pieces together.
