trying to identify my Seacraft
I have a 20cc which is registered as a 1972. The original data plate doesn't show the year built, but It 's a model 20' FOB SN #1490

72??
I plan to add pictures soon. I think my boat is pretty much original. It has spent the majority of it's life here in Maine. Summer use only. It has a few battle scars, a couple of small soft spots in the deck, but otherwise pretty solid.

If the transom is original, and there's not a hull ID number cast into the upper starboard side of the transom, it's a '72 or earlier. If it's a '72 20 CC, it's the SuperFisherman model. The only other 20 CC is the Master Angler, and it didn't go into production until '75. I believe the "FOB" in your serial number stands for "fisherman outboard". If it was an I/O, the SN would start "FIO..."

4 stringers would also identify it as a '72 or earlier model. Potter went to 2 wide box stringers on the 73 & later models.
