Meads
I paid $1800. to replace the transom on My '83 20' MA cc I used a Hi-Density foam instead of wood.
Then the paint then the re-store !! Then there was a Theory !!

I'm looking to have mine done too. Anyone know of a good shop in the RI or SE Massachusetts area that does good work and is reasonable?

Hey Roger - I thought your name was familiar - I've seen it on the SNESA list...

Try doing some searches here and on SNESA. I seem to remember seeing someone good and reasonable in the Fall River / New Bedford area.

Update: I might be thinking of this thread on my board: http://www.striped-bass.com/vbulleti...hlight=transom - There are some shop names in their and you also may want to e-mail Van, say you got the link from John @ S-B, and ask how satisfied his freind is with the transom work....

Good Luck!
