useing munriatic acid for cleaning alum.
anyone ever use munriatic acid on the outside of a alumunin fuel tank to clean it up....

Not sure about that. But I use Woody Wax and it is great stuff.

There is a two part aluminum chemical cleaner on the market. I can’t remember what it is called but I used it on some aluminum parts before I painted them it striped off all the junk and cleaned them up pretty good. I got it a West Marine in the paint and epoxy section of the store.
