Warthog- As I replied to Muddywater the finished shots have gone with Jimmy Hoffa somewhere ..... I am still looking but after 2 years its not looking good.
No Bones- That is my good friends shop "viking marine" in RI I think it is an 8 ton hoist but not too sure. He just picked up a new forklift and that has been awesome. |

Nice job on the quick fix...it happens. don't sweat it, at least you have the ability to slap it up right again..... Also, I Must Admit, back in the day I remember shaking my head when we walked around the project and we talked about "Suzy"....2 years later you were right, of course. seems that down here the 250suzies are the best alternative.... nice work! |

It's a shame you lost the progress pics, but any chance you could post some current shots showing what the back end of your 20 looks like from the inside? I'm interested in how you did the side rails, modified the corner access hatch "boxes" and finished the inside of the hull. Last night, I bought a 1976 20 that I will be picking up later this month, and I've always thought that a solution/mod like the one you are showing (partially, anyway) would be a good setup in that hull. |

Great to hear from you, you just wait untill you see your title....I never knew you were shaking your head at the Suzuki decision. hmmmmmm would you like any stock tips? Twin 250 Suzuki 4s on your Whitewater may be the ticket. I do not know excact numbers but I think Joey and Reel Smoker do, the boat is at the Hurricane Hole in KW.
Off the top of my feeble mind I recal 2-3 feet fore/aft and 1 foot on the beam? I also remember the boat came from South America and there is/was a mold of it in Key West? |

Thanks for those pictures. Hope you find the rest of them. I'd like to see more. When you did the new transom, I assume you went to 25" height, correct? Did you raise the height of the new deck as well? The reason I'm asking is because I'm impressed with teh Suzuki 140 and I've been on 2 SeaCrafts this season with original decks and heavy motors (Honda 130 4S and a 150 Optimax-both weigh the same or more than the 140 Suzuki) and they didn't seem to have wet decks (both hulls had the ping pong ball type scuppers). Regarding the top rail, looks like you essentially cut off the bottom portion of the inner liner (leaving a 2"-3" downturned flange), tied that structure into the new configuration at the transom, and added padded bolsters, correct? Do you think you lost any degree of stiffness in the hull's topsides or overall structure? |
