Default Stolen Sea Craft Warning

To all the Sea craft owners Beware and take care to secure your boat from robbers, Its sad to say my 95% completed 20 ft cc was robbed, It seems the word is out down here in South Fla. That Potter hulls are worth money. That was a very sad day in my life. when i think of the blood sweat and yes tears More joy than saddness that went in to this boat. But alas we must push on and push i did i found the sane boat a week latter only this one is a 1973 hull and in great shape , im in the process of redoing this boat also only now she is lojacked 5 hugh locks and cables in a secure place, so my story has a happy ending. in ending all i can say is keep your boats safe. to me thay are one of the most beautful hulls ever desinged. and worth protecting, Best Wishes to all

Can you post a hull ID number? As many boats that the members of this site look at, it may show up. Just a thought.

Many years ago a friend of mine was on his way to the keys
for bug season. They stopped at the 162 nd street mall in Miami to go shopping. When they came back out the Suburban and 20SF were gone. Everything, dive gear, tackle, you name it.
Fortunately they had a couple of friends that had a Suburban and a 17 Whaler parked right next to them.
It was still there, go figure. They returned to the mall
after filing the police report, to buy all the essentials.
Loaded up in there friends "Burb" and headed on to the keys
to still have there vacation. After returning to Daytona,
Miami notified him they found the SeaCraft floating down the Miami river full of holes, no motor console, etc.
The bums tried to sink her, but could'nt. They caught the
bad guys in Liberty City. The cop noticed the vent window
on the "Burb" knocked out. Back when this happened that model year had vent windows. And it was only a year old.
Thats what caught his eye also.
Long story short, Insurance got the burb and my friend got the boat back, still in use today and gaurded closely.
See ya, Ken

Man that bites. Sorry to hear about your loss. I know how you feel though. I found my boat stripped (still in the water). That was quite a few years back (same year as Hurricane Andrew) but it still makes me mad as hell to think about it. Then I moved a couple years ago and had my home stripped bare. Scum... nothing but scum.

Post everything you have about your boat. Somebody will have to sell it without a title or try to register it sooner or later. I hope they get the scumsuckers that took your boat (hopefully before you find them, because if you feel the way I did, there wouldn't be enough left of them for the crabs to scrape off the bottom).
