My outdrive is ready to be re-installed and we're just working on the trim system now. Then I'll tackle the wood side panels (I'm replacing them with Plasteak or Starboard). Hopefully that will be finished before the tournament. If not I'll be fishing her anyway.

No problem, if the side panels aren't done by then you can help me keep all the boat's guts in! Ha!

Sounds good! I just got the last few parts for the boat's tilt/trim system and will put them in tomorrow. Hopefully I'll be able to take her out on Sunday, if not tomorrow afternoon.

OK, the drive's been resealed, U-Joints replaced and has been installed, the tilt/trim motor is now on an aluminum bracket and operating. Not much was left of the old steel bracket, hell the solenoids were just hanging by the wires! Both T/T cylinders have been rebuilt and the carb also. This weekend I'll re-tune the engine and see how everything works. $600 in the hole already! Hopefully everything will be OK to be ready for June!

Well, actually a bit more since I did purchase some parts myself for $80 and I gave the guy a $42 tip for a good job. He's a mobile boat mechanic and comes to the boat to do the work. I haven't tried the repairs out yet but am confident everything will work fine, he seems to know what he's doing. I actually thought it was a bit high but I've rarely had any work done by someone else. You think it's a good price?

Well fellas after (4) weeks this Friday of not posting, I am back in spirits to start posting again. (4)weeks ago I spent two days in the hospital with very serious back & chest pain that just came on unexpectedley, come to find out after a series of test were done I have two herniated disc in my thorasic and I have been in a special brace that covers my whole chest & back since then, it's called a TLSO, they also have me on several meds. I have (2)more weeks to go before they redo the MRI to determine how it's healing and for how much longer I have to where the brace. Originally they estimated 6-8 weeks, I am hoping that stays true. I dont know what is going to be my status by the time the tourny comes around, things are just to uncertain right now. I am trying to be as positive as I can so I will remain hopeful that I will be able to participate, when it comes time to being realistic it's more likely that I will not be fishing the tourny or this summer. I will keep you guys posted

Sounds awful! Sorry to hear you've been going thru all that. Seems like this year has been hard on quite a few of us, my sister passed away in January and my father just a couple of weeks ago. Please take good care of yourself and don't worry about the tourney, if necessary we can reschedule for a later time.
