Default Gunnel mount outrigger bases on Seafari

Finally getting accessories mounted
How far forward should I mount outrigger bases on my gunnels from the front rod holders. I googled for answers but most discuss t top mounting etc. Is there a minimum or max distance etc???? My outriggers are 15' aluminum tigress 1 1/8".
All help appreciated

I mounted my Lee's outrigger holders so the tip of the collapsed outriggers were flush with transom.
Aft edge of outrigger base is 20" forward of fwd edge of nearest rod holder. Center of rear rod holder is about 24" from transom and the outward canted forward rod holder nearest to outrigger is 56" from transom. Seems to work pretty well there.

I'm also using 15', 1-1/8" outriggers, only I went with side mounts, blocked up to hold them out from the inward sloping side walls - these pix should give you an idea of the layout and spacing - by the way, the forward rod holders are angled out slightly, maybe 25 - 30 degrees.

As already stated, mount the tips of the riggers just slightly aft of the transom. If they do not reach it, live with it or go for longer riggers. We also tried to match the angle of the deck house with the angle of the riggers but this may not be a good option.
