I think I have seen that boat before. If it is, it is definitly a "new generation". The yellow and marooon is what I saw first....

I just can't imagine that much weight on the back. The CoG must be behind the leaning post. I have been on 31 contenders with twin 4 strokes, and they are pretty stern heavy needing wedges and tabs at anything less than 30 mph.

that boat doesn't sit that bad at all... the red against the white bottom makes it seem worse... if it were all one color you wouldn't notice that much

Remeber guys, there are a lot of Scepters running 350+ blocks through an I/O drive. That's 1200+ lbs of hardware and they do very nicely, thank you. What they give up on the top end, they pay back in fuel economy and a VERY SOLID ride in the nasties!

I agree on the inboards. I frequently fish out of a 23 savage with a 350 inboard. The engine is right under the console in the very bottom of the bilge. It is like fishing on a dock. The weight of the outboards is at least 3' higher. The issue isn't the weight, it's where the weight is located, high and stern. When you start through some tough head seas, if the boat won't rotate over the waves, it can get very bow happy.
