Default Leaning post

How far from the steering wheel should a leaning post be mounted? Getting ready to mount a leaning post and replace the helm chairs.

Eddie,
There is no rule of thumb on distance.
Make it where it is comfortable for you.
Naturally if you are a small frame person it would be closer.
Vice-versa if you are a large frame person.

Go with what feels good for you.

See ya, Ken

Make sure the suiside knob doesn't smack your zipper (known cause of a squeaky voice) when your standing in front of the wheel and leaning against the post
